You've no doubt spotted a weary volunteer before, haven't you? You can see it in the way they come in just at the nick of time, or in the way they leave quickly to avoid too much interaction with students. Or you can spot fatigue in their countenance and responses; the passion just isn't there anymore. In various ways you get the distinct impression something just isn't right.
