Blogging allows ordinary people to express themselves while potentially attracting a global audience. But regardless of whether we keep a blog, we all post messages for others to read—through our words, actions, and choices. As Christians, we have a responsibility to tell our "readers" about our love for Christ.

Whether Valentine's Day is a holiday that we eagerly await or that we dread, most of us know the intense feelings that come with being in love. This year for Valentine's Day, we should ask ourselves, "How intense is our love for God?" We also take a look at the phenomenon of weblogs, better known as "blogs," which has given Internet users a new form of entertainment and source for news and information. Blogging allows ordinary people to express themselves while potentially attracting a global audience. But regardless of whether we keep a blog, we all post messages for others to read—through our words, actions, and choices. As Christians, we have a responsibility to tell our "readers" about our love for Christ.

With each day the news from South and Southeast Asia only gets worse. What was first reported on December 26th as an earthquake near Thailand that killed thousands has now been confirmed as one of the worst natural disasters in history.

I don't know if you've ever had a day like this. I was frustrated. I had just been asked to cover another event for my senior pastor. I hadn't had a day off in two weeks. To top it all, I learned there had been complaints from older members of my church over a recent youth event. They hadn't bothered to come to me; instead, they chose to tell others behind my back.

When I went to graduate school in Christian ministries, my advisors told me, "Take these courses, and you'll be ready for ministry in the church. Take Greek, Hebrew, Theology, Church History, and Pastoral Counseling, and you can handle anything that comes your way." Well, they were only half right.
